We searched a long time to find a blue roan stallion that would continue the quality of our program. Jana Can Bee Blue is now an aged stallion. We found that stud, Red Mesa Half Hitch, in the high plains ranch country of Colorado. In this area the ranching industry requires big, rugged horses that can do an honest day’s work. That’s the type of horses we strive to produce plus they must have eye appeal necessary for the East coast market. Red Mesa Half Hitch contains the qualities we require in an outcross stallion: gentle disposition, rugged conformation, color and a classic pedigree. His pedigree contains seven of the ten most influential sires in the history of the breed – Blue Valentine, Joe Hancock, King, Three Bars, Leo, Eddie and Driftwood. These great sires appear numerous times in his pedigree. Hitch stands approximately 15.2 and weighs 1100-1200 lbs.
